Another week another Friday Night Lights. This week’s episode is called Injury List. It features a surprise return of Matt Saracen and since the season is almost over all of our storylines are coming to a head. A lot goes on in this episode. Also for the first time ever I’m gonna try to bring you some video in this one.

Time for this week’s Friday Night Lights recap. This week is episode 10, entitled I Can’t. It’s a perfect title for this great episode that shows off some tremendous acting skills from both Michael B. Jordan (Vince Howard aka Juvie) and Madison Burge (Becky). Also Alicia Witt is back this week and she’s more than just looking pretty. Before we get started remember to so you can support this site and these recaps. I’m working on trying to incorporate video clips for the final 3 episodes of the season, so keep your fingers crossed. Basically there are 2 important stories in this episode. So I’m gonna try to write about those and I’m gonna try to keep this recap short. Instead of going chronologically and jumping around I’m just going to go through the various plotlines. Let’s start with Virgil.

Well we’re here again with another episode of Friday Night Lights to recap. “Stay” is currently my choice for episode of the season and this couldn’t hold a flame to it, but it was pretty decent. There’s some character building going on, but I do feel like we took a step back.

Daddy's home
The episode starts with Juvie being made quarterback. Then we cut to Becky/Tim’s place where Becky’s dad has returned home. Obviously Becky’s mom is not pleased about this. We also learn that it’s been 3 weeks since “Stay” and Matt has not talked to Julie since then and she’s pretty much gone insane.

Julie being crazy
She decides to sign up for every single activity, and signs Landry up for the “Academic Smackdown” with her.
The big story starts a little while later when after a practice the cops come to search Juvie’s locker for a gun.

Oh snap!
Clearly this concerns Juvie, and Coach as well. They find nothing but Coach knows something is up. Also apparently Juvie’s mom is now clean suddenly?
I’m not sure what she was on but I’m pretty sure it takes more than your son becoming QB1 to kick it. But she comes to see Coach and thank him. So Coach is all invested now.

Sorry this recap took so long. These episodes aren’t super easy for me to view. So if anyone was waiting for me to write this up (does anyone read these regularly, please let me know if you do) I’m sorry. Anyway this week’s episode “The Son” obviously is all about the fallout from the shocking conclusion to episode 4. But it starts out with a football game. Because it can. The lions are once again getting slaughtered but they have an idea to go against Coach and run another play and it works so they score but coach is mad. Only for like 30 seconds though because then he tells Juvie another play to do. Juvie pulls it off with Luke’s help and they still lose, but they scored twice. So now we can go back to the whole death thing right? Nope.
Hey you remember how the girl who has a crush on Riggins was gonna be in a beauty pageant?

Friday Night Lights Season 4, episode 4, “A Sort of Homecoming”, is definitely one of the better episodes this season so far. Pretty much most of my complaints from earlier episodes have been dealt with. But it’s not perfect.
So Coach Taylor’s plot this episode is that he is going to hold a pep rally for the Lions. This like everything else he’s tried to do for the team turns out to be much harder than it should be. Coach’s plot really takes a backseat though. A lot of this episode is dedicated to our newer characters. Oh also everyone hates Tami because she had that kid transferred.

Panther Hater
Speaking of transfer kid (Luke), he’s still not getting along with Juvie. They get in a fight on the field and then Juvie steals his wallet. Cause that’s what Juvie does. Later on in the episode Luke is driving around with the Panthers and JD and they see Juvie walking along the side of the road so they all get out and jump him but it’s really just Juvie and Luke fighting. The cops come and arrest the two of them. By the way it was interesting that they took quite a bit of care to show that one of the Panthers was black so as to not make the entire scene a big hate crime, which really it was. So Luke is white and he’s fine to get out of jail, but Juvie is black and also is Juvie so the cops tell Coach he’s going to Juvie for reals. Coach makes Juvie and Luke change their story and manages to get Juvie out. He then leaves the two of them stranded in the middle of nowhere. They suddenly work everything out and Juvie somehow has Luke’s wallet on him at that exact moment and gives it back to him.

I know I’m a few days late with this but here’s the recap/review thing for Season 4 Episode 2 After The Fall. Well things in Dillon East aren’t any better. In fact Coach’s actions from last week have made the entire team quit. But there’s a bright spot when good ole Buddy Garity stops by. He’s unhappy with things over at the Panthers so he’s spilling some secrets
