The You Know Who Girls: Freshman Year is about 14 year old Abbey who is entering her freshman year of high school. But unlike her best friend Kate, she’s not attracted to the guys, she instead finds herself crushing hard on the girl at Hot Dog on a Stick chick. As she gets further incorporated into the school, she’s got to sort out her feelings about individual girls and her own sexuality and face coming out to her mom and straight as an arrow best friend.
Bunheads is the latest series from Gilmore Girls mastermind Amy Sherman-Palladino (also known as ASP for short). A former ballerina and Broadway chorus girl, Michelle (Foster; Flight of the Concords) , is currently stuck in Vegas as a showgirl and life is going nowhere fast. She’s constantly pursued by a man who visits her every time he is town (Ruck; Ferris Bueller’s Day Off). After a particularly bad audition she agrees to go out with him and after a few martinis winds up married and moving to the small town of Paradise with him the next day. She soon discovers the town of Paradise is a pretty sleepy town where everyone knows everything about each other and there’s very little to do. But her new mother in law (Bishop; Gilmore Girls) is also a former ballerina who runs a studio in the back of the house. Here she teaches some promising girls dancing and life lessons.

With a transgendered former boy band member, reality show pirates, an evil corporation, a small dictator obsessed with Elvis, and a character very much like Sarah Palin, things get crazy fast.
