Tags: The Real World
Just a quick notice about some changes going on around here. The biggest is that unless people come and really say they are enjoying and want me to keep doing them, The Real World D. C. recaps are being stopped for now. I know it’s always annoying when a site stops a feature you like but they don’t get a ton of traffic and there’s no real revenue brought in from them and they take forever to do. Seriously the average Real World recap takes me about 3 hours, and I’d much rather be using that to write about several things instead of one recap. If you happen to be a fan of the recaps though let me know and I’ll continue them. I’m all about you guys.
Second I’m currently working on a complete site re-design that won’t launch for a very long time still, but it’s being worked on. So you might see posts titled or tagged differently, that’s why, it’s so they’ll look better when the redesign is ready.
Finally we have a great new advertiser. This one is for all the musicians out there. It’s Tunecore. They allow you to sell your music through all the big sites like Amazon and iTunes. We even have a special discount if you use the link below:

We’re going to be putting out a list of suggestions for holiday gifts for you and those you care enough about to give gifts to in a few days but we still need input from you. Comment below with some of the things you want this year and if it’s cool enough it’ll make the list. What’s some awesome stuff that’s come out recently (or ever if it’s really cool) that you’re salivating over?

Tags: Best TV Episodes
So two little bits of site news. I’ll get the first out of the way quickly: I’m going to be adding a ton of old concert and movie reviews from my livejournal to the site over the next few weeks, but since it’s mostly old material I won’t be publicizing any of it on Twitter, etc. So there will be a ton of new old stuff, just so that you guys have more stuff to check out.
Now onto the important piece of business: we’re starting a new article series about the best TV episodes of all time. And we’d love to have your help. Just leave a comment on this post with the name of the show and the name of the episode or a few of your favorites and we’ll see if they make our final judgement. If you can’t find the name of the episode try to give us a general idea of it, like the plot, any memorable guest stars, what season it was in, or if you happen to know the exact episode number and title that would be great.
This will probably be a monthly series and will probably start later this month.

This evening Penn & Teller took the stage of the Gramercy Theatre in New York City for a unique event to benefit the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation & music and arts education in public schools. The event was unique in that it wasn’t their normal show. Instead it was a 90 minute discussion with the pair about their career to date with questions both from a moderator and from the audience. They did manage to throw 3 different tricks in throughout the evening however. Also everyone in the audience received the poster above, which Penn & Teller stayed and signed for anyone who wanted an autograph afterwards.

This post is being written by a straight male and just for ease of writing I’m just going to use boy/girl descriptors but really this should apply to most any gender pairing. Also this is a different type of post than usual for MediaDecay, but we figured we’d throw in an occasional off topic post every now and then for some added fun.
So here’s the situation: You’re at a club (a rock club, not some crappy techno type club) and you’re watching a band. They’re good and you’re really into the music. And hey you’re single and there’s some attractive people in the band. Your eyes move around the stage and you study each member diligently. First up there’s the singer. He’s gonna be the obvious choice. He’s out in front, he’s emotional, his lyrics speak to someplace deep inside you. Then you move to the guitarist. Another easy choice. You watch as he bends the chords to his will. Strumming your pain with his fingers. You know, the usual. Now your eyes drift towards the bassist. He probably smells. Just kidding. I just really had nothing to write for a bassist. Finally you make your way up to the drummer, partially hidden behind a plethora of drums and cymbals. He’s banging away a good groove, but he’s the drummer. Also he looks pretty sweaty back there.
So why should you maybe strike up a conversation with him after the show? Why out of all these potential one night stands or possible future boyfriends would you choose the drummer? I’ll give you 8 reasons why. Why 8? Cause I felt like it. OK let’s get get innuendo-y!

Where have we been for the past few days? Well like I said in our previous bit of site news we had some style things that had to be worked out. In doing so I managed to find that a piece of our site has stopped functioning and was making the site basically broken in every single browser except Firefox (or at least the most recent version for windows). You see because that’s how I typically view the site myself, I had no idea exactly when the site broke or how and it was broken in quite a weird manner. Here’s what happened and how I fixed it. Also the other changes I made.

Tropico 3 is the third installment in the twisted sim series “Tropico”. In the series you are a dictator of an unnamed tropical island and you must build an island to either help or wreak havok on your citizens. The Tropico games have always been pretty simple. Basically the goal is usually to avoid getting kicked out of office or killed. And that’s not really too different here. While the other two Tropico’s and their add-ons were released too long ago for me to have a proper memory of the details I can guide you through this installment.
