Morning Glories is a comic about six new students at the prestigious and mysterious Morning Glory Academy.  The six students are from all over the world and are all very different but share one common trait (which I won’t ruin for you here). At Morning Glory Academy they find out that this is no regular prep school, and instead find themselves often in fights for their lives.

The Volume 1 TPB collects the first 6 issues of the series, which is still on going.  If you’re a fan of The Runaways or LOST, the latter of which is regularly referenced both subtlety and not so subtlety, you’ll love this book.  I was drawn in from the first pages.

This early in it’s run it’s very much like the first season of LOST.  We’re delving into who these characters are and learning their secrets while at the same time trying to figure out just what is going on at this mysterious school.  It’s crazy how much greatness lies in just a few issues of this book.  It’s just brilliant.

I highly recommend picking this one up.  Look right now a used copy is $5 over on Amazon.  That’s incredibly cheap. Anyway if you like LOST, I think I just found your new addiction, in print form at least.
