I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell – Movie Review

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell is based on the book(also on Audible: ) of the same name by Tucker Max
, blogger/professional asshole who also wrote the screenplay. It’s about Tucker (Matt Czuchry) and his friends Drew (Jesse Bradford) and Dan (Geoff Stults) as they go out for Dan’s bachelor party and Tucker manages to lose his friendships.
I don’t know how I sat through this entire movie. It was just horrible in every respect. The dialogue is some of the worst I’ve ever heard. There is virtually no story. The movie is both misogynist and racist. It’s production value is non-existent. The acting is stiff and just flat out bad, and these are actors that in other things have been great. Oh and it’s a comedy that isn’t the least bit funny. This is a movie for those below the lowest common denominator.
You know how everyone makes fun of romantic comedies for being clichè ridden and predictable? Well this is like a romantic comedy in that respect but with a whole exactly opposite set of clichès. It’s like they took the most stereotypical asshole male and that’s a character. The female characters are all stereotypes too. Every single character in the entire movie is one dimensional and boring. Clearly they made an attempt to not have the protagonist be a total asshole by trying to take some focus off of Max and put it on the friends, but this failed miserably.
I really just cannot recommend that anyone with any taste at all see this movie. However if you want to subject yourself to it you can buy the dvd on Amazon:
Or watch it on Amazon’s VOD service. Starting January 26th. It’ll also be available on
