American Virgin is a recently released straight to video movie about Priscilla (Jenna Dewan) who gets a college scholarship through an abstinence organization.  When she gets to college she finds herself in over her head with a roommate that only cares about sex, drugs, and partying (Brianne Davis).  One night her roommate gets her to go to a party thrown by Chicks Go Crazy, a Girls Gone Wild type thing, and she accidentally gets drunk off of jello shots.  She comes to learn that in her drunken state she was captured on the video and if it comes out she will lose her scholarship.  So Priscilla, her roommate, and two male dorm buddies head off in search of the seedy Chicks Go Crazy producer (Rob Schneider) to get that tape back.

This is going to be a short post because I can’t think of much to say about this movie, and not in a good way. It’s a below average sex comedy that every second of is predictable and no second of is funny. The plot is paper thin and the characterizations, dialogue, acting and just about everything else is absolutely horrible. The writer of this according to IMDb is a first time screenwriter who otherwise is a stand up comic. It seems like he just took things from every other teen sex comedy he’s ever watched. I mean the main plot of the virgin getting involved with a Girls Gone Wild like operation is kind of decent if it was done at all properly. This movie is about 90 minutes of using the movie as an excuse to show girls making out and flashing their tits (except the leads, so it you really wanna see Jenna Dewan topless go elsewhere). It’s degrading and has no artistic merit. Also what is Clare Kilner thinking? She directed this but before this she’s done movies like “How To Deal” and “The Wedding Date”, not brilliant cinema by any means, but not absolute crap.

If I were you I’d save my time and totally skip this one.
